Produce Fresh Foods Manager
LOCATION: Mandarin (Full-Time)
DEPARTMENT: Native Sun Fresh Foods
COMPENSATION: TBD based on experience
Provide overall leadership to the produce team to ensure that all objectives and goals of the department and store are met or exceeded. This position has complete accountability for all aspects of department operations including profitability, expense control, merchandising, labor control and regulatory compliance. The Produce Manager must be prepared to think, learn and contribute all while consistently communicating and modeling the Native Sun Natural Foods Market vision and goals.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience supervising at least five (5) employees in a produce or grocery retail environment required.
Previous experience must include planning and directing complex business operations, business-related issue resolution, inventory management, profit margin and labor budget design and management.
Familiarity with natural and organic foods and products preferred.
Experience with MS Office and Excel required.
Ability to read and prepare reports and business communications.
Analytical ability and proficiency in math sufficient to calculate margins, monitor profitability and manage inventory.
Ability to learn, understand and advocate for all relevant Native Sun Natural Foods Market policies, procedures, core values, business philosophy and quality goals.
Ability to work with a sense of urgency and meet timelines.
Must understand and communicate quality goals and ingredient information to customers.
Excellent organizational skills and an ability to merchandise product. Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
Must be comfortable using a box cutter, knives, and other cutting equipment.
Strong work ethic and personal integrity a must, as well as effective time management skills.

Able to work mornings, nights, weekends, holidays and long/unusual hours as needed.
