LOCATION: Baymeadows (Full-Time)
COMPENSATION: TBD based on experience
Responsible for the overall Native Sun supply chain and related vendor management, product assortment, merchandising and promotion of products, developing and maintaining category business plans that includes goals, timelines, sales and profit targets.
Works collectively with the store operations and sales teams to maximize sales, margin dollars, and service level efficiency from current and new vendors. The Purchasing Director is also responsible for developing and maintaining the tools and reports necessary to perform this function successfully.
Bachelor’s degree in business management, procurement or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a retail grocery environment with experience in natural food retail preferred. Ability to negotiate competitive pricing and marketing support agreements with an array of vendors.
Ability to budget and then proactively manage top line (sales) and gross margin %.
Ability to transfer product and program knowledge to store teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
