Native Sun Natural Foods Market Highlighted
in National Ad Campaign for Solgar Vitamin & Herb
(Jacksonville, FL 10/11/04) If you pick
up this month's issue of Organic Grocer you'll see some
familiar faces: Aaron Gottlieb, Native Sun Natural Foods Market
owner, and Beverly Velasquez, health and nutrition manager,
are featured in new ads for Solgar Vitamin and Herb.
The ads include a photo of Gottlieb and
Velasquez taken after they toured Solgar's Bergen County,
New Jersey manufacturing facility which recently underwent
a $20M upgrade. This was one of many trips the duo has
made to suppliers' facilities to see their manufacturing
standards in action.
During a site visit, Gottlieb and Velasquez
tour the labs and speak with formulators about their
research and methods, monitor the cleaning processes
between manufacturing runs, and ask questions of the
staff. "These visits help us to ensure that the manufacturer's
standards are compatible with the strict standards we
maintain in the store," according to Gottlieb. "They
also allow us to more effectively educate our customers
on the products."
These strict standards are also why Native
Sun is one of a handful of retailers across the country
chosen for inclusion in the Solgar campaign which will
run in leading trade publications for the organic and
nutrition industry. According to Jeff Whipple, head
of communications for Solgar, "We appreciate that Native
Sun has extremely high standards for the products they
carry and we are delighted that Solgar products are
represented at this fine retailer."
Native Sun Natural Foods Market is a 10,000-square-foot
