Simple Swaps for Cinco de Mayo and Beyond!

With Cinco de Mayo around the corner and Taco Tuesday happening, well, every single Tuesday, here are some healthy Taco Night swaps that'll also save you dollar bills, and time, so you can focus on what really matters, the fiesta!

1. Red Duck Taco Sauce
Skip the hot sauce that's been chilling in the back of your fridge and reach for Red Duck's gluten-free and organic taco sauce. Comes complete with bright and fresh flavors like cumin, carrot and lime, so all you have to do is mix it in with your rice, beans or protein of choice!

2. Beyond Meat Crumbles
Cut the calories and fat in your pasta, soup and tacos with one of our favorite plant-based protein products, Beyond Meat Crumbles! The tasty pea-protein recipe is perfect for meat eaters and vegetarians alike, boasting healthy ingredients like rice, tomatoes and garlic! No cholesterol, antibiotics or saturated fat feels like an all around win.

3. Maria & Ricardo's Tortillas
Most Mexican dishes require flavor, spice and, of course, really good tortillas! Ditch the enriched and bleached flour blend for Maria & Ricardo's organic, vegan and dairy-free tortillas!

4. Late July Chips & Salsa
Chips and salsa are easy to serve and even easier to eat. Whenever we're craving Mexican, we grab Late July Organic Restaurant Style Chips and Salsa. With a variety of salsas to pair with chip flavors like Sea Salt Thin & Crispy, Chia & Quinoa, Sea Salt & Lime and Purple Corn, there's an option for every taste!

5. Tasty Bite Rice
Cut time in the kitchen with organic ready-made rice! Tasty Bite has organic, vegan and gluten-free options made with just water, oil and rice. Simple, organic and the perfect addition to any entree.

6. Skirt/Flank Steaks
The cuts in our Meat Department come from grass-fed animals raised by farmers in open environments and produced with humane practices. This week, we're loving the grass-fed flank and skirt steaks from White Oak Pastures in Bluffton, GA! Grill, sear or braise these babies before adding them to everything from tacos to tostadas.

7. Tres Agaves Margarita Mix
Unfortunately, artificial colors, high fructose corn syrup and preservatives find their way into cocktail mixes all the time. Shake things up with a fresh margarita mix that's made with simple ingredients like agave and lime! With just 1 oz. of fresh lime juice, 2 oz. of Tres Agaves and 2 oz. of your tequila of choice, you're Cinco de Mayo will be off to a good start!
