Blackberry Pear Salad


  • 2 tbsp. sugar

  • 2 tsp. Earl Grey tea

  • 3 c. fresh blackberries

  • 2 tsp. Champagne vinegar

  • 2 Asian pears, thinly sliced


  1. Finely grind sugar and tea in a spice mill.

  2. Purée 1 cup fresh blackberries, vinegar, and Earl Grey sugar in a food processor until smooth.

  3. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a small bowl, pressing on solids; discard solids.

  4. Arrange pears on plates; top with remaining 2 cups blackberries.

  5. Spoon blackberry sauce over top.
