Homemade Blood Orange Ginger Ale
2 c. fresh ginger, peeled and coarsely chopped
4 blood oranges
2 1/2 c. water
3 c. Wholesome! Zero or 1 1/2 cups Wholesome! Organic Stevia
2 1/2 qt c. sparkling water
Add ginger to a medium sauce pot.
Using a vegetable peeler, peel orange zest into the pot. (Avoid white pith.)
Cut oranges in half and squeeze in the juice.
Add water and sweetener.
Bring to a boil.
Once at a boil reduce to medium heat.
Simmer for about 10 minutes.
Chill in an ice bath.
Once cool, pour 1 1/2 cups into a tall glass filled with ice.
Top with sparkling water and serve.
